Kasauli Mall Road
The vibrant commercial and social hub of the town. Unlike chaotic city markets, this is a charming, vehicle-free walking street lined with colonial-era architecture, local cafes, and handicraft shops. It is the ultimate spot to buy souvenirs, try local street food like the famous Bun Samosa, or just enjoy an evening stroll.
Gilbert Trail
A paradise for nature lovers and birdwatchers. It is a short, narrow dirt track that stretches for about 1.5 kilometres along the edge of a cliff. Lined with towering pine trees, wildflowers, and dense green bushes, walking here frequently feels like walking through the clouds, especially during misty mornings.
Sunset Point
A highly popular scenic viewpoint situated at the upper end of the town. It features a dedicated viewing platform that offers uninterrupted, panoramic vistas of the sun dipping behind the majestic Shivalik hill ranges. On clear nights, you can even spot the twinkling city lights of Chandigarh far below in the plains.
Monkey Point
The highest point in Kasauli, located securely inside an Indian Air Force Station. It houses a holy temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. According to the Ramayana, this is the exact spot where Lord Hanuman stepped while fetching the Sanjeevani herb. It offers a sweeping 360-degree view of the Sutlej River flowing through the valleys.
Christ Church
One of the oldest functioning churches in Himachal Pradesh, dating back to 1853. This historical landmark is famous for its distinct grey stone Gothic architecture, a brilliant green-tiled roof, and stunning imported Italian stained-glass windows that depict various saints. It sits in a tranquil courtyard surrounded by chestnut and pine trees.
Gurudwara Shri Guru Nanakji
A beautifully managed, historic Sikh shrine located in Gharkhal. Known for its peaceful main prayer hall which houses the holy Guru Granth Sahib, it offers wonderful spiritual solace to travelers of all faiths. Because of its elevated location, the terrace outside provides excellent views of the mountain valleys.
